TS13

TS13 never made it off the drawing board, even though it was well thought out and fully designed. One of the goals was to lower the centre of gravity, this was achieved by stacking the batteries in the separated compartments around the driver. These compartments were designed to be made from basalt fibre matrix with a fire resistant core to ensure the drivers safety. The frame was spacious for the driver and safe. The seat was to be made of basalt fibres. The suspension was updated to a double wishbone pushrod system instead of pull rod, this would give the components more space and enable the centre of gravity to be lowered. The drivetrain was unchanged from TS12. The car's body was designed with aerodynamics and manufacturing in mind. A positive mould was to be made of the whole body in smaller parts, to make the manufacturing simpler. Team Spark competed with the TS13 design in class 2 at Silverstone and got 3rd place out of 25: we got 2nd place in the cost and sustainability presentation, 4th place in the design presentation and 11th place for our business presentation.
